Next Wave was founded by Kory Kindle, a former professional soccer player and current Doctor of physical therapy. Kory began his physical therapy practice treating patients in a high-paced outpatient physical therapist practice, managing injuries ranging from total joint replacements to sports injuries and chronic pain. Later, Kory worked as an acute care physical therapist at Santa Barbara’s Cottage Hospital, helping patients recover from orthopedic surgeries, motor vehicle accidents, and strokes.

 

Kory spent time in summer of 2022 as Ventura County Fusion USL2 team performance advisor and fitness coach. During this time, Kory spent his time leading the teams dynamic warm-up, educating coaching staff on proper periodization, and facilitating recovery and rehabilitation for injured Players. Ventura County Fusion went on to win the USL2 Championship with Kory being a pivotal piece keeping players fresh and available for important matches. 

 

Before pursuing his dream to help others reach their full potential through physical therapy, Kory spent one full season with the Colorado Rapids soccer team after being drafted in the second round of the 2013 MLS draft. Kory was the top-rated college left-back nationwide during his final year of Division 1 soccer at the California State University of Bakersfield.
